Shannon is a self taught contemporary visual artist and writer born October 4, 1983 in Watertown, South Dakota.  She, like all of us, has always possessed the ability to create. Her artistic talent became evident around the age of nine when she began sketching. Although this talent wasn't fostered, it didn't go unnoticed by those close to her. She spent hours filling up countless sketchbooks by the time she reached high school These four years were imperative in the fostering of her inner creative. Shannon graduated high school from Milbank, South Dakota in 2002 to pursue her Bachelors Degree at Saint Cloud State University where she would also be a member of the SCSU women's basketball team. Visual art took a backseat during this time which allowed for her to exploror a new avenue of creative energy, writing.

It would be well over a decade before the artist within would awaken.  What started out as a few simple sketches and drawings for her son, November 2015, quickly evolved into creating for self as well as others. By January 2016, Shannon Job Arts was official and so began the creative journey of a lifetime. Shannon has since moved back to her hometown and is working with the rural community, particularly the Whetstone Arts Council where she serves as the Vice President.

"We all possess a special gift;  we are all here to fulfill a purpose.  This is a part of my journey, my light within, and it is with immense gratitude and love, that I choose to share it." S
